Is he ever going to like it?

Daddy!  Please stop making me do tummy time!

Four months

We can't believe our little guy is already four months old!  What a great four months it has been.  He has been the best thing to ever come into our lives.  We are so grateful for him and are so lucky that he is ours! He had his four month check up this morning and he did great (although not so great last night...fever of 102 from his shots).  He has been extra cuddly though which is nice for me.

His stats:

Weight - 15 lbs 1 oz (57th percentile)

Height - 26 in (85th percentile)

Some things about Damon:

He isn't the best sleeper.  I wish he were.  Lots of tired days and night for me and Lee.

He still does not like tummy time, although he is getting a little bit better.

He can roll over from back to tummy and tummy to back but will only do it every so often.  We clap for him after and you can tell that he is proud of himself.  

He loves being outside more than anything.  He is so happy outside and loves when we go on walks every afternoon.  When he is fussy, I just take him outside and it calms him right down.

He is ticklish.  He laughs when I kiss his armpits and neck and tickle his chunky thighs.

You may not believe me, but he gives me kisses.  At least I think he does :)

He loves to blow bubbles/spit/drool all at the same time.  Things get pretty wet and slobbery (notice the drool dripping down his tummy).

He loves sitting up: in his bumbo chair, against a bed, in his crib.

He thinks it is so fun to stand and would do it all day long if we let him (the pediatrician told us to not let him do it so much...whoops!). 

He loves bath time.  He splashes and smiles and thinks it is so fun.

He tries to put everything into his mouth.  It is hard to put clothes on him, wash him with his washcloth, swaddle him, etc. because he grabs everything and won't let go.

He still has the cutest hair ever.

He has great eyes and lips. 

He is so fun and has such a great personality.  It has really come on this last month.

We think he is the cutest baby.

Today

I am sick, so today has just been one of those days where I play with Damon in his room and try to lay as much as possible.  I have been an excellent blogger so far, thanks to Lee's encouragement.  I figured I could print out my blogs and put them in a little book for Damon.  

 Damon got his toy stuck on his foot this morning and couldn't figure out how to get it off.  After a few minutes of watching him, I helped him out.

I put these little booties on him to see if they fit and he did not like them too much.  He kept staring at them and trying to kick them off. 

I love his smile :)

Tummy time and sitting up

Damon is not the biggest fan of tummy time.  He liked it when he was really little, but now just makes pouty faces or licks the blanket.  He knows how to roll over, but doesn't like to do that much either.

 Damon is going to be so excited when he can sit up all by himself!  He loves when I set him against the bed so he can sit up.  He is pretty good at it, and can stay upright for a few minutes at a time.  

We promise that he is a smiley kid.  It never fails...when we pull out the camera or video camera, he gets his serious face.  Still a cute one though!

The dog

Each month I have taken a picture of Damon by the same stuffed animal to see how much bigger he gets each time.  The 4 month picture will be taken soon, but for now here are months 1, 2 and 3.  He is getting so big!

Smiles

Damon has been such a smiley kid.  It is so fun to see how happy he is and I love that I can always get a smile out of him.  He tends to save most of his smiles for me and Lee...okay by me!
