Damon's new favorite things

He is growing up too fast.  Some new things he likes / likes to do.

Chew on apples and pears.  He gets the juice all over his clothes we end up having to change him.  He also makes sort of an angry face when chewing the fruit.

He likes to "wrestle".  He buries his face into you and rolls around on you.  It is cute.

Push ups are the best!  The first picture is him first starting to learn how to get up on his toes and hands, but he is getting better and better at it.  

He loves to fall asleep with his face pressed into my neck.  I love it.  The closest to cuddling I get.  

I just think his little chubby face looks cute!

Zoo

Damon and I went to the Phoenix Zoo with our good friends Missy and Jacoby, Sadie and MiKya, and Jen and Tyler this week.  It was fun to see some of the animals.  Damon could care less about them, but I enjoyed seeing them.  

Lee wanted a picture of Damon next to giraffes.

Damon was a little unhappy that it was so hot, so I took off his shirt.  He was much better after that.  We love this picture!

Next to the zebras.  Yes my baby, like me, is very white and has a chunky belly :)

We thought Tyler and MiKya might like the splash pad.  I didn't know Damon would like it so much!  He wanted to touch the water shooting out of the ground so badly.  (Tyler and Damon aren't very good at looking at the camera when we ask them to).

Here is our 6 month old baby being sprayed in the face.  No big deal.

He loved the splash pad and didn't mind getting wet one bit.

Of course he needed a bath after smelling like the zoo.  Lee decided to give him a little mohawk.  Look how long it is.  Haha.

I was grateful for this paper bag the other day.  It kept him entertained through dinner!

Six months

We can't even believe that our baby is six months old already.  We love this little boy more than we can express and he melts our hearts every day.  He really is the best thing that has ever happened to us and we feel so lucky that he is ours!  He is so fun and has such an exciting and curious personality.  It is so fun to watch him grow and learn new things and explore this fun world we live in.  

At six months he is: 18 lbs (62nd percentile), 27 in (75th percentile).

He loves to laugh, loves to smile, loves being outside, loves going on walks, loves being held, loves kisses, loves to eat, loves toys, loves grass, loves water, loves standing, loves dancing, loves jumping, loves being tickled, loves being scared, loves to chew on everything, loves his Mama and loves his Daddy!

He likes to scoot backwards when he is on his tummy, and lately has been going under his crib.

Trying water out of a sippy cup.  Did not like it.

Poor baby had 4 shots at his 6 month check up.  

Has mastered sitting up.  He is really good about wearing his helmet.  It makes me so sad though because he is loosing SO much hair.  He is pretty much bald now in a few areas.

Loves his little football.  If I surround him with toys, he always goes for the football.

Such a happy boy!

He is telling me a story here.  I love the way he moves his mouth when he talks.

He likes to stick his tongue out a little now.  Silly.  At least he isn't spitting here (he loves to spit now...grr.  He also likes to punch/hit and kick things.  A little worried about this.)

Not a lot to update on right now, but I have gotten picture requests, so here are some from this last week.

Just playing with toys.

I found him like this.  He put the cold teething ring over his face and kept it there.  It was hot outside.

Playing in his room.  He is a fan of tummy time now!

I love this picture so much!  I think Lee and Damon look so handsome.  Damon loves his Daddy.

Happy boy!  I let him play on the grass the other day.  I was worried that he wouldn't like it or would get a little rash from it, but he loved the grass and no rash!  

Swimming and a last minute visit

Papa and Grandma Buchanan decided last minute to come see us for a day!  We loved having them here.  Too bad it was so short.  We have loved all of our visitors and are sad that it is all over...someone else come see us please :)  Damon loved his Papa and Gma.  While they were here, we took Damon to the pool for the first time and he loved it! 

He was one happy baby not having to wear any clothes!

We miss you already and want you to come back really soon!

We are not going to start this trend even though his Papa, Grandpa Babbel and Daddy all love this drink!

Five Months

Our little boy is already 5 months old!  Damon has been extra fun lately and is so happy.  He laughs so much and it is so cute to hear.  He likes people being really silly and likes to be scared, which is kind of funny to me.  He still does not sleep so great :(  He loves his bottles and we just started him on baby oatmeal, and he seems to be liking it (he did not like the rice cereal so much).  He is always rolling over now and is already wiggling around on the ground and manages to move around.  He still loves standing and really likes jumping now.  His hair is getting super long and gets in his eyes if we don't move it to the side.  He has such a sweet and fun personality and we wish he would just cuddle us!

That dog is looking smaller and smaller!
