Eight Months

I just realized I haven't done a monthly post about Tate.  I did one each month for Damon, but I guess having two kids makes blogging a little bit more difficult.  So...here we go!  We are pretty obsessed with Tate.  He can be quite the fun and spunky baby when he is happy.  He is seriously so handsome, has great eyes and best smile ever.  He is a busy body, and I am a little worried about him walking...I am pretty sure he will make our house a complete mess.  He is quite the grunter.  He is always making some weird low grunting noise.  He is a Mama's boy for sure.  Sometimes I like it, sometimes it makes things hard.  He usually starts crying when I walk away from him, or when I walk past him and don't stop to play with him or pick him up.  He still nurses 2-3 times a night.  He has two cute little teeth.  He weighs around 19 lbs.  He loves his baby oatmeal and veggie baby food, not a huge fan of fruits, and will not take a bottle.  He loves Damon so much.  Damon will pick him up and carry him around, wrestle/roll around with him on the ground, sit on him...pretty much make me worried, but Tate loves it and smiles and laughs most of the time.  He is so much happier now that he is so mobile.  We love him so much!

 

He loves to be next to Damon doing whatever Damon is doing.

Easter

We had a good Easter this year. Kelsey was able to come down for the weekend, which was great! So cute after an egg hunt!

Tate walking around. He loves walking. He also loves playing with his tongue. Swimming. It is about that time of year again! With Auntie! That smile... Again... Such a handsome boy. Easter morning. Damon gives me the cheesiest smiles. Love him!

xoxo Chew chew chew This is how these two play. Damon picks him up like a rag doll and they roll around together while Damon tosses him around. It always amazes me that Tate just laughs and smiles the whole time. I am usually worried that Tate will get hurt or end up crying...but he just loves it. I love watching them play!

I had some Easter pictures taken of the boys. They turned out pretty cute...and yes, those are real ducklings.  That nose! Cutest boys in the world!! Love them so much.

Utah

We just got back from Utah where we got to hang out with our Babbel side, as well as Auntie Kendra. It was so much fun. We love spending time at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Pretty Kendra reading to D Helping Grandpa rake the leaves...I guess putting the rake into the tree isn't helping too much!  

He has the best smiles :) ...and eyes Grandma taking D for a ride! Damon left Grandpa a book while he was napping Tate loved crawling through the table, and eating books and magazines along the way. Love these two!! My big sweetheart Reading books...a favorite of Damon's Swinging with Grandma! Damon did not want any pictures taken of him for most of the trip. These two love to roll around together on the floor...but they do take breaks to cuddle.

Ahh...that smile :) With cousin Caleb! They are just 2 1/2 months apart. They will have fun together when they are older. Do you notice how Tate is twice his size? Cute little Caleb. With Aunt Kristy and Caleb :) 

We had a really fun trip! It is so nice to be able to spend time with family. While we were away, Tate learned how to go from commando crawling to crawling on all fours, he got one tooth (has a second now), turned 7 months old, and thinks he is ready to walk.  I have one cute story about Damon: we were driving in the car, and I turned and noticed that Damon had got a motorized car completely tangled and stuck in his beautiful hair. I tried to get it out, but was noticing how stuck it was. I told Soni that if I had to cut it out of his hair, it would break my heart. Then Damon turned to me and told me he didn't want my heart to break. I told his that it wouldn't really break, that it would just make me sad. He then went on to tell me that he wanted my heart to be happy and that he would fix my broken heart with tape. I just about melted. He really is the sweetest little boy.  

Papa & Grammy

Papa and Grammy came to visit while Lee was gone for the month. It was so fun having them here! Happy baby! My boys love their Papa and Grammy

I think Tate is going to be a water baby. He loves the pool already.

Prettiest Grammy ever...with cutest baby too :) Damon loves Grammy and likes to pretend he is calling her and talking to her on a weekly basis. We miss you! Thanks so much for coming and staying with us!!
