18 Months!

Our little guy is becoming not so little.  He is growing up so fast, and is the best kid ever (of course Lee and I think that...aren't we supposed to?!).  Today I watched some videos of Damon when he was a little baby, and I just about cried.  I love the stage he is in right now, but I do miss that little baby.  I guess its a good thing his little brother is on his way!

Some of his favorite things to do:
- Play outside (run, dig in dirt, throw rocks, pick up sticks, pick grass, go to the park)
- Go to the pool (he loves playing in the sand, play in the water, and yes...he already thinks he can swim and walks out into where it is too deep and starts going under water.  You'd think he'd be afraid, but he just jumps and smiles, probably because he knows I am right there to pick him up).
- Play with dogs.  He is such a dog lover.  If you know me, this isn't the best news in the world.  I like dogs just fine, but I don't really want to own one.  Now I have Lee and Damon that will bug me about it.  Damon is not afraid of them one bit, he will let dogs lick him all over (yuck), jump on him, knock him over...he loves it all.
- He loves to help clean, put things away, throw stuff in the garbage, help Mom vacuum, etc.  The problem is, he also loves to make messes.
- He loves to go to the library and play with the choo-choo trains and read books.
- He loves to be around other kids.  He plays pretty well with other kids, especially older ones.  He also loves babies...it is really sweet.  He just stares at them, gets really calm, and softly touches them.
- He loves to feed himself...messy.
- He loves, loves, loves to play with balls.  He can spot one anywhere, and can usually be seen holding, kicking or throwing a ball.
- He likes to play chase.  He thinks it is the best game ever when I chase him and Daddy around the house.
There are so many other things that he loves, but you get the idea!

Things he says:
Mama (sometimes it sounds like Ma-my), Dada (or Da), car, ball, dog, grass, stick, rock, bubbles, poopies, yuck, snack, almost all animal sounds, nose, shoe, spoon, key, stairs, apple, nigh night, owie, no, duck, back, away.
Of course I can tell what he is saying, some of the words are pretty hard to make out and others wouldn't have a clue as to what he is saying!

He makes us so so so happy and we love him more than anything.  He really is such a fun, happy, adventurous little boy.

Some pictures
He loves putting on Lee's shoes and trying to walk in them.
Probably wanting me to put the camera away.
 Cute sleeper.
 Just up from a nap.
Big boy.  His hair is so curly.
At the pool.
 Cute head of hair!
He likes to take out all the condiments, and then put them all back.
We went to the Zoo and Lee was able to come with us.  We only went for two hours.  Damon was a little unsure at first and wanted us to hold him.
 Petting the camel.
I love this picture.  He was so tired and just wanted to cuddle Daddy.
 Family picture.
On the carousel.
Here I am with my two boys.  18 1/2 weeks in this picture.  I probably won't post many baby bump pictures.

Pictures

He loves using the laundry basket to collect all of his balls.
I think he is such a cute sleeper.  He loves falling asleep with his doggy.
He let me put a hat on him for about 30 seconds.  I think it is so cute because his curls just come out all over.
He loves to ride Daddy like a horse.  The whole time, you can hear Damon saying "neigh-neigh."
We borrowed our friends life jacket to see if Damon would use it in the pool.  Turns out he loves life jackets and wanted to wear it ALL THE TIME.  We eventually returned it, mainly because I was tired of him wearing it so much...yes, even outside when we went on walks.
 Sweet boy :)
He loves to go under the table, and close himself in with all the chairs.  Then he climbs up and squeezes through the opening to sit up.
This is my newest nephew Presley, my sister Kyla's boy.  He is so sweet and handsome and I am dying not being able to hold and kiss him :(  May can't come soon enough.

Oh BOY!

I am sure everyone who reads our blog already knows that we are expecting another boy in August!  We are so excited.  Lee thought 100% it was a girl.  I thought a girl at first, and was unsure for a while after that.  The few weeks leading up to the ultrasound, I started feeling like it may be a boy.  Lee would call the baby "sissy" or "her" and I would tell him not to, because I wasn't so sure it was a girl.  The night before the ultrasound, I strongly felt like it was a boy...and I am happy it is!  I can't wait to Damon to have a built in best friend :)  I think, or actually I know I will have my hands tied up with another busy body, but I love it!  It has been fun to feel him kick/move, and I love it every time.  I started feeling this little guy really early (11 weeks).  Sometimes when I ask Damon where his baby is, he lifts up my shirt and pokes at my tummy.  He also will instantly kiss the ultrasound picture if I hand it to him.  We are very blessed!
These two are thrilled to be adding to their team...gang up on Mom!

A very welcomed visit

I know I haven't been posting much, not much exciting has been going on, and Damon manages to always turn his head when I try and take a picture.  After a month, I have a few new ones with him looking at me. Better though, Grammy and Papa came for a visit!!  We don't get to see family very often, so this was very exciting, and Damon was in heaven.  It took a few minutes to get used to the idea that they were here in person rather than on the computer via skype, but soon he was off having fun.
Giving me a little stink eye
 He loves to stack blocks
 Waving hi
 Helping Daddy clean his bottle
Coloring with Papa
Kicking up and relaxing on a wagon ride
We went to feed the ducks...big scary geese came along and he would not go near them and was afraid
 Grammy and Papa
 He loves the slide!
 At the Children's Museum
 Playing in a ball room
 Sitting with Grammy
He loved this sand table
He went crazy for this xylophone.  I wish I got more video of it when he was really dancing and going crazy!

Lately

Not much to blog about lately!  We've just been enjoying the weather, going on lots of walks and park trips.  Damon is still growing too fast, Lee is still always studying, and I am still fairly boring!  Here are some pictures to hold you over.
He likes to go into the laundry holder after I empty it.
I thought these three were cute
We went to a hot air balloon festival one night with our friends.  It was pretty fun!
 Love my boys.

Back home

We are officially recovered from our trip, healthy, and having fun playing outside everyday!  Added bonus...Auntie Kyla got to spend two days with us :)
Trying to blow in the choo choo train whistle.  It is pretty sad/funny...when I blow in it, it scares him and he buries his face into my body.
 xo
Playing with his cars.  He says cars now and it is so cute.  I think in this picture, he is trying to make them crash.
 So happy at the park!
Playing in the mulch and water
 Showing Kyla his dirty hands
He pushed his stroller home most of the way, and thought it was funny to chase Kyla and try to run into her.
 Hanging out

Christmas

This year, we were able to spend Christmas in Utah with the Babbel's.  We had a fun first week, but it went downhill the second week :(  Most of the family got the flu, including me and Damon.  It was pretty horrible.  We still enjoyed our time there and had a fun Christmas.
Damon was obsessed with Bentley.  He loved that little dog more than anything.  Here he is trying to give him kisses.
My sweet little niece!!  I love spending time with these two...I just wish I could do it more often.
Since there was NO snow...we had to drive up the canyon to take Damon sledding.  He loved it.  We would let him go down all by himself, and eventually, Bentley went along for the ride!
 All bundled up!
Christmas Eve in his Christmas jammies
Christmas morning...the flu had already begun.  Damon still enjoyed his new books and toys.  He was so cute with his new little horses.  He would hold them and so sweetly say "neigh, neigh"
Going on a walk with Grandpa
Damon has the most kissable, perfect lips I have EVER seen.  He makes the best pucker.
 Running to his Mama
 I love this boy
 Sliding down the stairs
Yes, he even saved kisses for the cat.  Don't worry...I wouldn't let him actually do it!
